A Benign Collection of Daily Entries to Form Good Habits sounds boring, and you’re right, it is boring! With my collective wisdom of 22 years, I have discovered that if I want to be happy and healthy, I sometimes have to do boring things. (This doesn’t mean that each activity is always boring. See: exercise-delightful, shopping-changeable, work-I don’t want to talk about it.)

My goal for ABCDEFGHs is grow up and finally do the things that my mother always told me I should do. Most of the time, she’s right.

I’ve been stressed out and all over the place since 2012 began and these basic activities have been challenging for me lately. Rudimentary yes, but nevertheless essential for a healthy bod. You want a healthy bod too right? Rumor has it everyone does. You’re welcome to join me. I use #ABCDEFGHs to keep these entries easily accessible. Come along with me and this embarrassing yet helpful journey! If we can get to 28-days, we can do anything or just create good habits.

[  ] eat 3 meals a day (follow my nutritionalist mother’s advice regarding quality)

[  ] brush teeth x1 (after bfast or lunch perhaps)

[  ] no soda, no crap sugar, no flour, no potato, no corn (oh man)

[  ] yoga (when I wake up)

[  ] run (after I fuel up)

[  ] learn something new (at work, in play, on the radio, enlightenment)

[  ] brush floss rinse teeth x2 (before bed)

[  ] quality sleep (a work continuous in progress)
